Blue Boar Inn

Lovely huge room and the bar down stairs was really nice too with a beautiful beer garden, we loved the personal entrance/exit round the back.

Beds were a bit too soft. Shame there is no food options with such a big bar and gardens. Would have been great to have the option, however, this has not put us off staying again.

The room was spacious and clean. But the bonus is I could get a gin and tonic and take it back to the room for the evening and enjoy it in comfort.

I would have liked some sort of breakfast provided even if it’s continental on a tray left in the room.

The place was absolutely spotless and the shower was brilliant,so powerful I thought it was going to knock the ink out of my tattoos 🤣

Value for money with all amenities that we needed including parking. Lots of power points! The bus into the City was across the road.

It would have been nice to have food at the pub but we were made aware of this prior to booking.

Walking distance to relatives

The location was perfect for my stay. A sizeable carpark that always had spaces available. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and I liked that it had a bathtub. There was a bit of traffic noise and from the patrons of the pub below but as I booked a room above a pub on a main road I expected it and it was certainly not a problem.

Nice room

Friendly hosts, daily room service if wanted, comfortable beds and seating area, and a luxury for us a bath, soothing after a day of walking. Amenities close by as no food served on site.

A small drinks fridge or plug in cool box would be useful. Perhaps on request if not permanent.
