Laird And Dog Inn

The room was a good size. Clean and comfortable. Food was great and staff friendly. The bus into Edinburgh stopping right at the door is a big plus.

The road noise could be loud.

Fijn dat je lekker kan eten in je hotel. Een echte “inn” met café bij aan. Ligt dicht bij Rosslyn Chapel en de bushalte met directe lijn naar Edinghburgh ligt voor het hotel.

Just what I needed, staff were so nice and helpful, food was lovely and bus stop was right outside to get around. Location was very nice and walking distance from Bonnyrigg.

Check in at public bar. This should be separate from the general patrons area.

Convenient location, even though located outside Edinburgh, the bus stop is right outside and goes straight to the city centre. The breakfast is not a usual selection like in other hotels, but you get a menu of 3-4 choices in the evening and need to pre-select. But in general, it was tasty if you are in for 'full English'.

The hotel is just above the bar, so we were a bit lost at first about where to go for check-in. Related to this, the noise from the bar was coming a bit into the room, but it was not that disturbing. The room was very small and cold, but it's good that there was an electric heater already in the room. In addition, the cleanliness was not that good.
