the houseboat has the most magical location .. surrounded by mountains and situated on the quieter side of nigeen lake . also the fact that a small garden leads to the houseboat makes it special .. its heaven for bird watchers and anyone looking for some quiet time alone . some nice cafes and barbecue places are at walking distance . hazratbal market and the ghat is also near by .. also the houseboat is directly connected to a main road which makes accessibility very easy . no need to hire a boat to reach here like most houseboats .my interactions with Adil and Aamir was extremely good with local recommendations and hospitality on their end . its safe for any single woman traveller to stay and to move around the place .

jugnoo doesn't always work for cab service so you should try local autos which are faster and convenient way to travel around . also you need to inform them regarding your meals much in advance .

It was a great experience in King's houseboat. The houseboat was well decorated and maintained. The view was mesmerising. I must say, the hospitality received from the uncle and his son the owner's of this place is beyond expectations and I am very much thankful to them for taking effort and making our trip a better one.

There is always place for improvement. If could have got hot water during night would be better. But it is not a big problem.
