Greyhound Inn Wilton

Would highly recommend staying at the Greyhound when traveling to Salisbury. I was traveling for work and needed somewhere near to the location of travel. Excellent friendly service. Superb evening meal and breakfast, everything cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed the whole experience and will return for work travels or for personal.

Personeel was vriendelijk, ontbijt was ook meer dan voldoende. Kamer had een buitenterras in een gezellige patio waar meerdere hoekjes waren om wat te borrelen

Beautiful room, amazing dinner. Lovely location with some nice shops and cafes and a nice 5 mile walk around the countryside. Been here a few times now and it's consistently excellent.

There was parking beside this old low ceilinged inn, which set across from a historic partly ruined chapel in Wilton's Square. Great care had been taken in the decoration, and fitting out of the Inn to preserve its ancient atmosphere, but create a relaxing and well lit living and entertaining place that would put many modern chain hotels to shame. Whilst there was no lift, it was just a few steps up to our room, which was relatively spacious and comfy. Whilst freezing outside, the room warmed by an easily adjusted electric heater, and the towel rail in the large en suite bathroom kept all icicles at bay. We entertained relatives to supper. The menu was in keeping with everything else, making good use of local produce, and avoiding the McDonalds + approach of chain hotels. Not a boring dish on the Menu. Service both at dinner and the following morning's breakfast was excellent and unobtrusive, yet far from neglectful.

Hard to find anything to complain of, bit of a headache really in this case, which made our stay all the more enjoyable. Just one small suggestion: Might a plumber just tighten up the hot tap to the bathroom basin. It work well enough, but had a mind of its own about the direction in which it wanted to point.
