To be honest, everything was ok

Lovely place. The room was quite spacious and very clean. We had everything we needed. We had a great time swimming in the pool and enjoyed the nice surroundings inside the hotel area. Overall very nice place to stay for the money you pay. Would love to visit again in the future.

There was good communication prior to and during my visit. They were able to answer any of the questions I had. They had a kitchen area, so you can make some of your own meals. They provided shelves to store your food in. The bed was comfy enough, and the room was quiet at night.

Alejandro, one of the hosts, is a wonderful guy! Always very friendly, he helped me fix some things during my stay. His presence made my vacation very nice, even though the room was so-so... Muchas gracias!!!

A home away from home. And it is not just a catchphrase. Literally from the get go, they recommended a driver to pick us up at the airport. There was a lot of people and it took us a full hour to get out of it, and he waited patiently outside, I am not sure other drivers would have done the same. Definitely cheaper than any other cab. Then we get to the Villa. When I got in I had the feeling that I got home. The hosts are the kindest I have ever met, and the place itself is great. I honestly do not have other words. The common pool area is welcoming, quiet, comfortable. Our room had a window-door right by the pool, and in the morning before getting out I was taking a dip first thing after opening my eyes. While not very close to the beach, it is a walking distance from downtown, the host told us that the area was safe, and indeed it was. Now, this is not the fancy hotel area, and honestly, having stayed in that area too, I greatly prefer Kamerlingh Villa. The hotel area is incredibly expensive and, quite frankly, does not feel genuine. All restaurants are the same, with San Francisco Bay Area prices, with a couple of exceptions. When we were at KV, we got reasonably priced food and some really fantastic recommendations from the hosts. The only negative thing? That I had booked another hotel and I had to leave after only three days. If I went to Aruba again I would 100% stay at Kamerlingh Villa and, with the money saved on hotels, I would take a cab every day to a different beach. Eagle beach is great but...it's only a beach, there are many other nicer places where you can snorkel, see turtles, and so on. Bonuses: The cab driver they recommend can take you for a tour of the island. We were with our in-laws and he was so patient with them that we could really enjoy everything more.
