Balanced Rock Inn

The room was really large. Way bigger than many motels we have stayed in. It’s reasonably quiet though a train passed by in the middle of the night honking its horn and woke us up. Plenty of hot water and a comfy bed. The motel is so close to downtown. Breakfast is basic and you help yourself and take it to your room to eat. There is no seating.

I really don’t have any complaints. I can’t help the train!

A bare bones good value, very clean and efficient. Pet-friendly with a reasonable one-time $25 fee. A little noisy from trains and highways but also an easy walk to Fruita’s lively little downtown. East access to bike routes, hiking trails and the river. Beds large and comfy tho w synthetic sheets

Could have used more fruit and less sugar at breakfast. More hooks and a bit more shelving would make the small rooms 50% less cluttered (hey we come with lots of sporting gear) and more comfortable.
