The Savannah Inn

An affordable getaway right on the beach. Gorgeous sunrises, ocean breezes, and moonlight dancing on the waves. You can't get any better than that. This is an older motel - probably one of the originals but that contributed to the charm of it. The room was large and had most of what we needed. It overlooked the ocean, and we never closed the curtain at night. I slept really well. The beach was perfect. The ocean was amazing. I spent hours just jumping in the waves. The water was warm with soft sand underfoot, no rocks. Lifeguards close by. Carolina Beach in the summer is so much fun. Great boardwalk with lots of shops and places to eat and entertainment.

The king bed didn't have a nightstand on both sides. I had to use a stool to place my things at night. We didn't use the little freezer part of the fridge, but it looked like it needed a cleaning. The shower was really tiny with weak water pressure. There was nowhere to hang stuff in the bathroom. Parking was tight. - All minor inconveniences to be at this amazing location. Bring your own beach chairs and umbrella if you can, otherwise you'll have to rent them from beach vendors. The restaurants in the area price gouge. Expect to pay $45 just for breakfast for 2 people. Just a block away from the motel is Nollie's Taco joint - really good and reasonable. Also, Michaelangelo's pizza - fresh ingredients and a nice porch to eat out on.

Location was perfect but hotel and staff was way under par!

The hotel was very run down the doors where hard to open and close, also the staff didn’t clean the room the entire stay!!!!! Lastly the beds where like sleeping on the floor very hard and extremely uncomfortable!!!!!!!!!

The location was perfect, and the beach ramp was better than others. Great little pool and clean BASIC rooms....very friendly housekeeping staff

The room really needed at least one sitting chair(not table chairs). The TV was tiny and some local info would have been nice. Something more than the one cruise sheet. Also needed some hand rails on steps to beach ramp and maybe a sign telling people to not blare music at pool.
