Weingut und Gästehaus Apel

Very nice rooms, modern clean and bright. We had a balcony. The staff was very helpful and nice. We had dinner at the restaurant which was also good.

The wifi is not great and there is hardly any mobile data connection

The room (an apartment, actually) exceeded our expectations. The Apel winery was familiar to me from before but I did not know they also offered accommodation. Electric "Rolladen" made sleeping easy - the room was completely dark. Breakfast was great, Apel winery restaurant offered a wonderful asparagus meal in addition to excellent wine. We missed the "we are grilling" Sunday opportunity by booking a table for early evening - by then, they had already sold out their BBQ steaks.

Finding a parking place (despite of a large parking area next door) was not easy as there were so many restaurant/winery guests. When leaving, we noticed that there possibly was a parking area behind the building the apartment was in - this would have been nice to know in advance. The pillows were not supportive enough and a summer blanket would be nice for the warmer season.

The staff was very obliging and friendly. Room was execeptional with nice features. Breakfast was plentiful with great variety of food and drinks. Even a grape juice from the hose vinyard was served, and all in a stylish room.
