Gasthof und Pension Zur Frischen Quelle

It was in a fantastic location in the center of town. Very clean hotel and the staff was exceptional. I had a meeting, and they allowed me to stay in the restaurant while closed to take the call.

This place would have had 10/10 but there was no wifi in my room. It was really frustrating. If we need a hotel when we come visit family we will stay here but request a room with wifi.

We were served by the owners excellently on both the breakfast and dinner. They have tasty local food. You got some great scenery when driving towards there. You can reach Lohr am Main easily via B-roads, it's some 20 km away. I recommend using the Altstadtparkhaus in Lohr, it's underneath the castle and you can then take the entire center and castle on by foot. ! Other parking lots are limited to 2 hours, but underground ones have no time limit, it's pay as much as you use.

It is stated by many other guests before and it is true: the hosts are very friendly, give you a warm welcome and really look after you during your stay. The breakfast is fresh and the coffee great.

This is a pension and not a hotel. It means that the equipment in the rooms is a bit old-fashioned, but not a problem to me. In my room (nr. 1) there was no WIFI/WLAN available. It wad stated in the Booking-information though, unfortunately I overlooked it, so my fault. But in my opinion, this should not be the case in 2023 anymore. When I arrived in the village at 5:30 pm, it was rainy and only 9 degrees. The room however was cold and also with the heating 'at full speed', it remains a bit poor. I am fully aware what 2 years of Covid-19 and right after that, the war on Ukraine/energycrisis does with (smaller) hotels and pensions - not only in Germany. Less guests, costs of energy and staff went up, so did room prices and nothing is as it was. I don't have a solution for this all, it is sad. My impression however is that this staff makes the best of it and again, their kindness makes the difference. Good luck 🍀!
