Location was lovely, right in the middle of the countryside.

The location was very convenient because I was meeting family nearby. The scenery was stunning. Plenty of room for parking. The food was excellent and service good. Room comfortable.

Reception rather unwelcoming. Desk in front hall but staff member seated in office behind with his back to the front door. Dining was not in separate room but just at tables in the bar. I was on my own and felt conspicuous. There was no information of any kind in the room (except fire drill info). It would have been good to have confirmation of meal times and some info about the history of what was clearly a very old property. Food lovely but prices rather high for food and drink.

Lovely place for food and location.

For the room price I was expecting it to be high standard. Whilst very comfortable and clean in the bedroom, there were signs of wear and tear especially in the bathroom. There was some neglect around the property in terms of abandoned household items and a neglected bird hide. The views made up for that and the staff were friendly.

Location good for walks, good breakfast, nice old style country pub and hotel.

Lovely hotel, would definitely use again.
