Pousada Ana Doce

We enjoyed the breakfast, proximity to nightlife and beaches to visit by car by day, and that the interior was absolutely stunning. Felt like something from a tropical-themed movie set; pleasing to the eye and many spaces to relax or rest your gaze upon. Breakfast was generous and the staff there were highly receptive and kind to our breakfast requests. Respectful volume throughout the pousada, tranquil setting.

Not major, but one staff member's reception wasn't exactly warm upon arrival, but the other staff members made up for it the next day at breakfast & exiting the pousada. It would have been nicer to recieve a warm "you made it, welcome!" rather than "oh, I was just about to cancel your reservation for no-show", especially when we reached out via email and phone number provided on Booking that we would not be there the first night.

Beautiful 'pousada' with an indoor garden in the middle of the lobby that makes the fresh air quality and sounds so enjoyable during your stay and especially while having breakfast from the mezzanine area. Great location close to all the restaurants and fun bars. The room is comfortable. The breakfast includes lots of fresh fruits, they prepare the eggs when you request it. A great stay!

The pousada has such a special vibe, the nature mixed with rich cultural and historical details. The breakfast was delicious and the staff so attentive.

The vent in the bathroom stays on for a while even when we turn off the lights, I wish we had a way of turning it off.

Our bus from Sao Paulo was more than a hour late resulting in us arriving after 23h00. We informed Pousada Ana Doce and they waited for us to arrive. Excellent service also assisting us with the uber for trip to ilhabela.

The comfort of the rooms, the friendliness of the staff, and being within walking distance of restaurants and the beachfront.

No complaints or dislikes.

I liked the quirky decor from the minute you walk through the front door and in the “communal” lounge and dining areas.

The breakfast was basic and limited … you have to ask for eggs as they don’t provide it on the buffet table. On the night I arrived, and very tired, there was a huge loud argument between a couple downstairs one room under my room with lots of very loud shouting between midnight and 2 a.m. … I got no sleep and there was no intervention by the guesthouse staff or management. My next day was totally spoiled by lack of sleep and exhaustion.
