Location is nice in Sliema, the hosts were really friendly

Not the same as on the photos, loud road infront of the hotel that will wake you up at 0500. Lighting inside the room and halways was not fully working. Upon entry to the hotel it looked a bit cluttered and untidy. Also in the common areas and hallways. I thought a private owned place would have more attention to detail, than a commercial place. But there is room for improvement.

Location is not bad.

1. During my nearly week-long stay, the balcony door could not be closed properly. I reported this both to the staff and to the owner, but the issue was ignored. Because the balcony enclosure was not properly sealed, the room was very noisy due to heavy street traffic, and cold air was coming in. 2. I chose the option that said I could buy a good breakfast on site for 5 EUR. However, the owner told me that because I had not ordered breakfast when making the reservation, breakfast would not be available at all. 3. For most of the stay, there was no staff on site. Reservation documents containing guests' personal data were left out in the open, where any guest could see them. 4. During the last 3 days of my stay, there was no electricity in the bathroom. This meant no light and no hot water. Overall, the rooms are small and the street noise is very loud. In my opinion, it is also hard to describe the toilet as "private" when access requires walking through a public corridor.

Townhouse Backstage Boutique Music Themed is a place for those who appreciate atmosphere, and it doesn't matter that the room is a bit smaller and the bathroom is outside the room (each room has its own bathroom). The hosts satisfied our culinary whims at breakfast: delicious cold meats, cheeses, jams, cream cheeses, etc., and above all, wonderful local bread.The ground floor table could also be used for evening gatherings with friends. There's a small terrace on the roof. Soft drinks, wine, and liqueurs are available for purchase on site. The location is close to the ferry to Valletta. Parking possibilities on the streets close to the House. Important: the facility is not suitable for disabled people due to the stairs.

If you're visiting Malta this is an excellent place to stay. Sliema itself is a bustling harbour town with plenty bars, cafes, shops within ten minutes walk of hotel. Also within ten minutes walk is the harbour where you can book boat trips to Gozo and blue lagoon, and get a ferry to Valetta which takes ten minutes in itself (or around 8 euros in a Bolt) if you book a boat trip through Viator make sure this pickup point in Sliema is your closest one on Google maps. It'll be much more convenient. Facilities basic but clean and comfortable. Free bottled water at reception and coffee machine at reception. Some toilets aren't in the bedrooms but are very close and robes etc are provided. Would recommend.

Only thing is the busy road lots of noisy bikes so take some silicone ear plugs for at night if you're a sensitive sleeper. Although I slept okay most nights, and this will affect most hotels in the area.
