Masonic Arms Gatehouse

I booked the Apartment and a twin Room above the Bar for 7 of us. Both were excellent and met all our needs. All staff were lovely and very obliging, an asset to the establishment.

Twin room could have been warmer. Breakfast was disappointing, no porridge and a chopped fruit salad plus yoghurt would have been welcome. We were offered a platter with two whole bananas, two whole apples. strawberries, raspberries, melon.

Great location, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. The room was well fitted out with a comfortable bed and great shower. Breakfast in the pub was excellent.

The only thing was the lack of a fridge. That’s it!

Bed was comfortable. Restaurant handy as didn’t want to travel for a meal. Staff member Olivia was fabulous and very helpful. Bathroom accessories good quality but no hand/body cream.

Expensive and breakfast not included. Very little room in the room and chairs uncomfortable. Space beside bed was very narrow and no where to put cases without them blocking access to the bathroom. No hand or body cream in bathroom. Very dark and steps up to rooms very steep. Felt like decoration considered more important than guests comfort.
