Nice Town

It was very nicely laid out, small room (lovely cosy factor) but there still felt like there was room for 2. The food in the pub was lovely - we accidentally ordered the wrong thing and ended up being happy that we did! Staff were amazing! Super helpful and very accommodating to us.

Rooms were small, but cosy. Food was good! A lot of character! We enjoyed our stay.

Staircase was beautiful, but a little extra light would have been appreciated to negotiate the way.

Beautiful grand old pub, it's been done up but still retains all the old school charm. We stayed on State of Origin night and the pub didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was great, the staff and locals were friendly. The food is delicious. The place is exceptionally clean. There is also a vacant block attached to pub if your kids want to play footy. Appropriately priced. Comfortable beds and pillows too. Make sure you read the booklet in the room with all the history of the town, very interesting.

It was fine for us, but some people may find the original old pub stairs a bit hard on the knees. The private ensuite was soooo clean, but it is across the hall from your room.

Good clean room. Friendly laid-back staff. The room was what you would expect from an outback pub/bistro/accommodation.

The listing on Booking.com. This place has two locations the Grand Hotel and the Railway Hotel. This is not noted in the listing. The room we stayed in was in the Railway Hotel and it is a good 800m to a kilometre away from the Grand Hotel. Other than this our stay was good.
