Very good location. Very empathetic reception staff - they will listen to your complaints, but there isn’t much they can do to help. We were moved to a delux apartment on the second day because the room we were initially given was truly horrible.

Even 3 stars is too much for this hotel. Rooms are tiny, you literally get a bed, TV on the wall and a shelf. We had a three beds room and there was no space left to put down the suitcase and open it. Room has an odd smell, AC does not work properly. Bathroom is old and moldy with very strong sewage odour. The shower tub leaks, toillette does not flush properly. If you lock the door, good luck unlocking it from the inside. One of us got stuck, so we had to ask the staff for help. They have no handyman on staff, so the receptionist opened the door with the knife she borrowed from the restaurant. Ridiculous, for a 4-star hotel. The hotel is carpeted throughout and it’s a very old and heavily stained carpet. It felt disgusting to walk around the room barefoot. Bedding is decent, but mattresses are old and stained. My daughter left Banja Luka with some strange insect bites which, considering it was rainy and we didn’t spend time outside, she probably got in the hotel. Most likely spider bites because we saw some in the curtains. On the second day, we asked for a different room and the very pleasant lady at the reception desk offered us choice of another three beds room (which had all the same issues as the one we were staying in) and the apartment. We chose the apartment as it seemed to be somewhat cleaner and had no sewage smell. AC was better, but it leaked through some kind of flap opening in the ceiling, so we ended up keeping the trash can in the middle of the room to collect the water. Again, very empathetic reception staff, but no solution to the problem. Bathroom was better in terms of smell, but it had its issues - tub leaked a lot (water coming from underneat) and the hairdryer which should have been mounted on the wall was placed in a water paddle on the counter next to the sink. We decided not use it for safety reasons. Since it was an apartment, one of us had to sleep on the sofa bed. We decided not to pull it out as the mattress inside was disgusting
