close to the beach as well as to local shops & bars

first night was ok, second day we were out of water pretty much all day. At 11 o’ clock the next door bar decided to start a party which lasted until 2 am and we had to go down there to ask to turn down the volume. the reminder about quiet hours didn’t last though as it was the same the following night. Should mention that the only party guests were the guys working in that bar.

The view was outstanding and the location very central. The staff we encountered were very helpful.

The room was very dark and the overhead and upright fans didn’t manage to cool the room. The shower wasn’t very effective.

The view from the upper balcony was exceptional! It’s really too hot to spend all day on the beach, so it was great to be able to hang out in the shade of the covered balcony. Room #4 has the best view and balcony space! It’s rare to find a place right on the beach, with only 50 meters to town!

We stayed for a week. Three of those nights had really loud music from the nearby bar, so loud it was difficult to sleep. On Saturday night it continued until 2 am. Bring earplugs.

When we finally got the room we paid for-the view was lovely. The water in the shower was warm too. But the first night in the other old, shabby building ruined our stay in Montezuma.

We booked this more “expensive“ accomadation because we wanted a place with a balcony/terrace and were willing to pay a bit more than usual to enjoy the views and garden/terrace/balcony that is pictured on booking.com. Also, when we selected our room it said that we would have a terrace etc. Thats why we were a bit shocked when they showed us our room-it was not in the building that was pictured on booking.com-it was next to it-no balcony, no terrace, no garden. The room/apartment was also really shabby. We told the landlord straight away-that this was unacceptable and not what we were promised. Since they were booked out that evening, he said we could change rooms for our other two nights, but that night we had to stay there. He gave us a small discount of 11$ which was something, but not at all enough. The water in the shower was cold in that room too. When we swapped rooms we finally got the view we were paying for. Shame that we were stuck in the other building the first night. (See photo-if you are unlucky you'll get the room in this building in a bad state with no proper view or own outside area to sit in)

there were some guests throwing a party in the garden of the hotel, it was pretty loud but they moved by 11 pm.
