Good breakfast served by very friendly hostess.

I asked for a non-smoking room on a high floor with a view. Their reception is often unmanned, and when we arrive a young lad seemed to be helping out. He gave us a slightly tired and gloomy suite on a low floor with little view and quite a strong stale smoke smell. I could see there are rooms on higher floors. I asked about them but the lad was reluctant to change our room. I should’ve pressed the point, but we were tired and I didn’t. Oh well.

- the shuttle can pick you up from the gondola and take you back to the hotel as well, but at 16:00 at the latest. In my view, this is not a viable option and should be improved. Some of the ski lifts are running until 16:15, so getting down from the mountains before 16:30 is nearly impossible, and, therefore, the shuttle back is useless. One should be prepared to pay 15 or 20 leva for the return taxi back, depending on the time, the crown at the gondola, the size of your group etc.

Great location, beautiful inside and out. Lovely and warm, good breakfast and very friendly staff. Extensive wine collection and wine cellar and the food in the restaurant was first class, every time. An absolute pleasure to stay here.
