This is a lovely hotel. The external architecture and dining room are "old world" in the best possible sense, taking you back to Bulgaria in its heyday. The room was a generous size and quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was generous (I believe that it was extra). Overall, staying here was a very pleasant experience.

It was possibly because I first came across a Bulgarian trait at this particular hotel that I put a low score for "Staff". The concept of providing any form of service to the customer, seemed to be a notion that the male night receptionist had never heard of. In the Hotels defence I was to come across this many times throughout Bulgaria so it is not specific to them
