Hotel Villa Kaylaka

The hotel is situated in a wonderful park outside of the town. it overlooks a pair of lakes and the view from the room is hard to beat. My room was spacious and very comfortable. I had a large balcony that I enjoyed a lot. The room was very warm. There is free parking on the premises. The internet was great. Breakfast was made to order - it was very tasty. The staff handed a couple of extra requests of mine with care and expertise.

The only inconvenience was that the breakfast was made to order. This means you need to wake up 10 mins early. But that's hardly a complaint at all :-)

I stay two days and they didn’t have Wi-Fi two days in 21st century. I come for a work and could do anything without Wi-Fi. 4 Star hotel???

It was a bit tough to find at night with Google maps, but an elderly couple explained to us in gushing Bulgarian with copious arm and hand movements how to get there, and since Bulgarian also contains the odd Latin loan word, I got the general idea. And it was worth finding it. The first impression was one of luxury, though the lake was nowhere to be seen at night. The next morning, it was a different story. Way down from the balcony was the emerald colour of the lake, which was bordered by a sheer vertical wooded rock face glowing in fall colours. The young lady at reception was very kind, and she also functioned as waitress in the restaurant on the premises. In the summer, there would be a swimming pool to enjoy, but in mid-October it was drained. The room size is generous, with a separate anteroom when you come in, which also leads to the bathroom. It was a wonderful night, everyone was friendly, and it would be very well worth it stopping there again in the future.
