"Not a pleasant experience."

6.0

location was good and it was nice to have heating in the room, but unfortunately we couldn’t turn it down during the night so the room got far too hot!

I am not one to complain about small indiscretions, but I would like to warn other travellers what they are in for if they come here. The mattress of the bed was so old it had a huge dip in the middle and squeaked every time you moved, plus there were strands of hair all over the room, which I noticed immediately. Despite there being a nice looking bath tub in the bathroom, there was no plug and the hostel was meant to have a shared kitchen, but there was no such facility, although after I kicked up a fuss about being wrongly advised in the description of the place, the owner did let us cook there as an exception. Staff gave us the wrong instructions regarding timings of breakfast and the breakfast itself was very meagre, just a vegetable sandwich in stale white bread slices, with a kiddie’s yoghurt and a glass of pseudo orange juice, plus bags of the standard tea and coffee sachets. It was much too costly for what we got and our experience of Oruro was marred by this experience.

"VERY DISAPPOINTING FOR THE PRICE CHARGED"

5.0

Location, very quiet. Close to nice places for dinner (Calle Aroma). We really enjoyed breakfast. The guy working on the evening/breakfast shift was very good and helpful.

The girl who "welcomed" us barely said hello, she didn't even know where we could change dollars (just for your info, at the Campero Market from local people sitting in the corners and advertising their service). The room was claustrophobic small and the shower was full of hairs. Hairs were also in the bed sheet and pillows were too thick and hard.
