Hotel Gasthof Löwen

Die Mitarbeiter waren toll. Sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit. Im Zimmer selbst waren wundervolle alte Möbel. Ja, es war keine Klimaanlage mit fast 40 Grad, aber die Vorhänge haben viel abgehalten. Es ist nun mal ein denkmalgeschütztes Haus! Im Zimmer selbst stand auch noch ein Ventilator für uns bereit. Die Aussicht aus dem Zimmer war grandios, auf das Schloss. Parkplätze waren direkt neben dem Hotel vorhanden. Das Frühstück war toll. Für jeden war etwas dabei, es wurde nachgefüllt und auch gefragt, ob uns noch etwas fehlt.

The bus stops almost outside the door. I was advised that Reception closes from 2.30 to 5pm, but was welcomed and able to check in at 12 noon, which was really nice. No elevator, but staff willingly carried my bag upstairs. The restaurant was very popular (and fully booked) but one could eat the same meal at the bar. Staff were generous with advice and time. And, at breakfast, I got real tea (leaf tea) - the first time in 7 weeks of travel!

Perfect location in city central. Wonderful restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Staff was fantastic.

No A/C and it was hot in August.

Un personnel attentif pour un superbe bâtiment historique. Une cuisine raffinée avec une carte de produits locaux comme on souhaite s'y attendre. Les chambres spacieuses, propres et stylées. Une belle terrasse avec une large vue de la vallée au coucher du soleil.

En cette période de chaleur, dommage qu'un équipement type ventilateur silencieux ne se soit pas dans les chambres.

We arrived during the lunch time, but the GM greeted us, carried our bags upstairs and showed us to our exquisite, spacious room. We liked everything about our stay, from the warm welcome, beautiful setting, sightseeing suggestions and delicious cuisine
