Hotel Gasthof Löwen

Beautiful hotel. Superb staff. While it is very old - facilities updated tastefully.

Unfortunately the road is very busy during the day. Peaceful at night however.

My husband and I stayed for two nights, and liked the quaintness of the property. The oldest part of the property is from 1380 and there have been enlargements and modernization throughout the centuries. The staff was exceptional, friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves a very good prix fixe menu.

The climate was fairly warm and being on the top floor with no ac meant we would sleep with the windows open, thus making it a bit noisy from the road. However with the windows closed it was very quiet.

I stayed for 2 days as a solo traveller and was made to feel very welcome. The staff were so friendly and helpful, special mention to Yenny, who took very good care of me. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. I also ate here one evening and the food was very good. My room was spacious, light and very well appointed, with a lovely view of the castle (shame about the scaffolding surrounding it!) Easy walking distance of the centre of Vaduz and also directly on several main bus routes. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel is on the main road and therefore a little noisy but the soundproofing was good so with the windows closed it was possible to shut out all of the traffic noise.

Food, bed, appartment itself.

No air-conditioning, 24 degrees in the room, when 32 outside.

Location good. Staff very obliging. We were upgraded after the first night as roadworks outside were noisy after 7am. The room changed was much appreciated. Both rooms were of an excellent size, clean and comfortable. Bathrooms excellent Breakfast outstanding. Dinner looked very good and was popular too.

The Hotel Gasthof Lowen hotel is also a foundation. It´s building is 600 years old. Inside the foundation has preserved, for the pleasure of the guests all their traditional furniture and paintings. The manager Herbert and his team of people were extra kind to me. The made me a special vegetarian breakfast and made me a special sandwich. My hotel room was extremely large, comfortable, elegant and had windows on all sides of the room where one can enjoy the Alps and the vineyards. I think, it was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. I hope to go back to Vaduz in the future and see more of Liechtenstein. Vaduz has wonderful museums and an impressive collection of public art including the Voluminous Woman by the Colombian artsit Botero. Vaduz, is definitely worth a visit.

I did not like that I had to leave so soon. I wish, I could have extended my holiday a few more days so that I could see more of Liechtenstein. The people here are very friendly, thoughtful and the city is lovely.

Located on a main road with a lot of traffic till late at night. Only provided with three pillows for two people and two small bottles of liquid shower gel Which wasn’t enough for two people showering plus hand washing.
