"Excellent room eat breakfast at Brandl (an excellent bakery with stone ovens, all hand- made goods."

The room (Nr. 535, a junior suite) was a spacious corner room, with lots of glass and a nice view over the Schillerpark. It's located along the "main drag" between Hauptbahnhof and Hauptplatz, with trams every few minutes and only two stops (Bürgerstr.) from the main train station. The bathroom was well- lit and huge, with a wall- length mirror, two sinks, separate tub and shower.

The shower door was ill- fitting and leaked, despite efforts to keep it tightly closed. Breakfast was poor - crispy fruits, powdered scrambled eggs, no option for any other eggs, worn - out wall- length bench seat on one side of the tables along the wall. There was no bar - it's closed - so going outside the hotel for a nightcap was the only option.
