Beach Cabinas

Location is good.

Room was dirty when I arrived. Cooking stuff is extremely old and close to being unusable. Ton of mosquitoes in the room. Air Con has a big piece of metal loose and makes a ton of noise. Would not stay here again.

Very nice little place to sit outside.

The staff - All of them were so nice, amazing people! They were super responsive and helpful, Hector is the best handyman to have around; and Penny made us feel at home right away. The Cat - They have a small cat on the property called Sisi, very good cat!

Mattress - Foam mattress with zero support; we are two small persons and it just squished under us and you ended sleeping almost directly on the plywood plank that serves as the under mattress. Pool - no shared pool. For some reason we were under the impression that there was a shared pool, but no, it's only for the villa.

Staff - Amazing! Penny, the manager, Hector, the handyman, and Sisi the cat were all very welcoming and pleasant! They definitely went above and beyond to ensure our stay was good. We appreciated the exchange with them, learning and practicing our Spanish. Extremely proud and genuine people! The cat was also a great perk to that place, greeting us in the morning. Location - close to the main street, like most places in this area; so lots of noise during the day, but quiets down at night. Close to a lot of good restaurants, just across the street from a good coffee shop and a small grocery store. The best part, you're right next to an expensive resort and have access to it (the beach restaurant and bar, including the nice long chairs by the beach), without having to break the bank.

Mattress extremely uncomfortable - Old foam mattress directly on a plywood plank. We are two small persons and sank in the mattress, pretty much sleeping directly on the board; terrible. Too bad, because the place was very interesting, good location, best staff we meet in a long time travelling. For cleanliness, wasn't bad, but a good hard brush scrubbing of the floor tiles from time to time in between mopping wouldn't hurt. Pool - No shared pool We were under the impression that we would have access to a pool, at least from the website description stating something about a shared pool... Nope. Not a big deal if you are just staying 1 or two nights. With the current weather at the time of our trip, January 2024, the sun was very hot between 10am and 4pm, with UV index ranging up to 7 most days; so a pool would have been great. We managed around it, found great spots in the shade on the beach to chill and read or books and are now very appreciating of our new hotel pool!

Great location, big room, working airco.

Old amenities, old bedding, very thin walls, I could hear voices from all around, but worse is the steps of people in rooms above, very loud and disturbing.

Nice beach next to the Cabinas and near to all facilities
