Location was good

Upon arrival at the property, we noted a sign on the wall of room that advised us that the room was a 'noisy room' and that for this reason it was cheaper. We presumed it was because it was a small room with no windows. This was not outlined or advised when we booked the room on booking.com. As the sign alluded to, our sleep was completely interrupted for almost the whole evening with noise activity from upstairs being clearly heard through the night. People were coming and going until around 4am and the noise and activity was entirely audible. We were lucky if we slept for maximum 3 hours. The reason we booked this room was my partner was running the Santa Cruz Media Half Marathon the following day. Given how badly we slept, this completely ruined his experience and performance on the run and we would never have actually booked the room had we been aware in advance that it was by the operators own admission 'noisy'. Given this information about the make up of this room did not feature on the advertisement for this room, we feel we were completely misled. We had no choice by the time we arrived but to tolerate but we are extremely upset and angry with the whole situation.
