Really lovely place to rest after a long section of the Pennine Way. Comfortable, quiet room. Delicious food, really friendly staff. Definitely recommended.

The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and biscuits were a nice touch. There is even a big comfy chair with a cup holder and usb point to relax in. The area is absolutely gorgeous.

There is nothing to complain about. You will obviously hear some people in the beer garden on a nice evening, but that doesn’t last long.

The size of room was really good and it was very clean. Very friendly staff and lovely breakfast in the morning.

Very peculiar room with no curtains and a nearby church clock chiming every 15 minutes all night..!

Loved the decor in the room, so comfortable, fluffy towels, good shower and bath - needed the bath with all the walking! Homely and just right nice.loved the food, homemade and so good along with the family and service. Will come again. Thank you 💖

I need pitch black when sleeping so used an eye mask as there is a skylight but that is my preference. Mum was fine.

Happy atmosphere, busy village pub.

The steak and kidney pudding, but the chicken meal tasty and well presented.

Loved the traditional country pub feel, how friendly the staff were and they are fantastic with dogs. Lovely village. My dogs loved it as did we. Food was fantastic.
