Peddlars Rest

It was close to everything that we wanted, rail trail, bottle shop, pub. It was clean and modern, lovely ensuite. The check in was easy, there was a nice common room to sit, eat or have a cuppa. Facilities for bike storage was great.

When first entering the room it had a stale smell from lack of air circulation. Maybe have the aircon a bit before people arrive. We didn’t realise there was no window so there was no natural light.

Space in the communal kitchen area, the entry and bike storage room were all fabulous. The bed was super comfortable.

The room was a little cramped for a 3 night stay, but would probably be perfect for just overnight. Nowhere to hang wet towels so they would dry out. Personally, would prefer more privacy with bathroom set up.

The shower was great. I noticed the water was running through onto the carpeted area.

Check-in is in the bar/bottle shop next door. There were three of us - parents and adult son so booked a family room. Our beds and pillows were outrageously comfortable! Even better than those we had at the Stamford Plaza in Melbourne recently. Just a double and two singles, but very comfortable and beautifully made up. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies. It's an old building, but nicely renovated, and the shower is HUGE. The shower definitely needs a shelf to place a toilet bag and dry clothes. All-in-all it was very much better than expected. A nice breakfast area where you can make your own continental style brekky. Everything you need really, even storage area for your pushbike! Loads of on-street parking out front.

Not much to not like! A shelf and a small mirror in the shower is the only change I'd recommend to the owner.

Family Room is a great size. Right in the centre of town. Fantastic large communial kitchen and inside lockable e-bike charging station

Clean. Nice hot showers. Really comfortable bed. Air conditioned. Perfect spot to rest after doing half of the BVRT. Also had a secure room for our bikes.

You can hear those who come in late so my only slightly negative comment is you can hear others talking on phones etc.
