Chillagoe Cockatoo Hotel Motel

The bed was comfy, the room was clean, the people there were friendly, dinner was good value. The shower was hot and there was a car parking spot out the front of the room.

the overhead bedlamps didn't work. there was only 1 teaspoon.

Located in township, and was pretty quiet

Broken light fixture, power point, toilet bowel, TP holder, splash skirting in bathroom coming off wall, and general maintenance needed. Also only 3 channels on tv, no power point near bedside table, and bed had uncomfortable springs

The meals were delicious, excellent value, superb. Staff were tiptop, friendly and helpful.

Close to the pub. Comfortable bed, though needed more pillows as ones on bed were flat and had zips across the middle.

Toilet was dirty, bed moved due to castors not being secure on a tiled floor. Very poor value for money. No tea bags. Very old style that definitely requires updating.

The owners were very accommodating, no problems with meals - they worked in with us on times etc. Beds and pillows were compfy, bird life abundant, Rob was very informative on the district and history.

Not enough bench space in the rooms. Could have done with a small bench in the bathroom and another outside the bathroom.

The staff and the locals alike were approachable, friendly, helpful, and honest. The town and surrounds are filled with spectacular landscapes, and the wild and birdlife abounds. There are many surprises, including a Ford museum, which is very diverse.

There was nothing that I disliked during my week long stay in the town.
