Chillagoe Cockatoo Hotel Motel

Proximity to the caves , smelters, the motel bar and restaurant and price. Staff go out of their way to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience. Rooms very basic but most importantly clean and comfortable beds.

Nothing really, basic room but met our needs fully . If ordering drinks and paying by card be mindful min order is $10 although alcoholic drinks are priced at only $8 so affordable when compared with other establishments and that was more of a plus than the minimum card fee so still thumbs up for this motel .

Good location , friendly staff , good meals

It was the only room we could get for our dates. We liked the very old fashioned vibe of the place. The owner was nice when we saw him. There was a very local crowd at the bar and pool table. Food was ok.

Booking.com said there was breakfast but there isn’t on Sunday. Only instant coffee which is ok. The bed was uncomfortable And you can hear every conversation going on in any of the other rooms. People don’t care if they are keeping you up. there is very little open in the morning. Nothing is open before 8am.

Older style accommodation but it was clean, checkin was easy and staff nice and friendly

The meals at the attached motel/pub were terrible, meat still raw and the lasagna was definitely from a frozen packet out of the supermarket. The crumbed steak was soaking in oil.
