The Coramba Hotel

old school,laid back town

I enjoyed the history, and location of this hotel. The restaurant was excellent with a very talented chef. The hotel was clean as were the bathrooms. The bed was comfortable

A Bedside light would have been useful. The room size was quite small and the bed took up most of the space. Manageable with just me in the room but would have been tight with 2 plus bags

The location was convenient for the event we attended locally that night. My dinner at the hotel was nice, I had the fish curry.

Our booking confirmation said check-in was from 12pm but when we arrived the manager said check-in isn't until 2pm. There's no designated parking spaces for the accommodation so we had to park on the street. The entrance to the accommodation isn't connected to the hotel so you have to walk outside to get to it - not fun when it's pouring rain and the path isn't all undercover. The room STUNK of air freshener which made us cough all night. Bathrooms weren't very clean (hair on shower walls, vanity needed cleaning, mould around grout). Worst part by far was the bed!!!! It was as hard as a rock, we had springs jabbing into us and everytime we moved it creaked. Easy to say we won't be staying there again.
