The food at the restaurant was excellent. The staff were very attentive. The room was big, clean and it had everything we needed.

Top ontbijt. Uitgebreid . Gezellige ruimte. Echt een romantische lokatie. Netjes vriendelijk. Lokaal. We hebben echt genoten. Echt een aanrader .

De lichtknopjes waren lastig te bedienen. Liever gewoon een aan en uit knop ik heb steeds zitten worstelen om het licht aan te krijgen.

Finding an affordable, beautiful stay near Bruges can feel impossible, but we struck absolute gold with De Goedendag! Located in the breathtakingly picturesque village of Lissewege, this hotel is an absolute gem and the perfect alternative to expensive city centre prices. Honestly, we loved it so much we’ve already booked our return trip for 2026, before they sell out! 🏡 Charm, Comfort & Convenience From the moment we arrived, the service was fabulous, setting the tone for a fantastic stay. Communication was great, and they even allowed us to collect keys early (10 am) just in case, long before the 4 pm check-in. Plus, free parking is a huge bonus! We stayed in a Deluxe Double room, which truly felt like a home away from home, that instant feeling of warmth and love, like visiting a cherished place. Bedroom: Large, clean, and featuring a firm double bed. The thoughtful touches, a desk area, full-length mirror, TV, and excellent heating/aircon, made it highly comfortable. Best of all? Plug sockets on both sides of the bed! Amenities: The coffee/tea station was stocked with biscuits, and the minifridge had water. The large bathroom featured a good-sized walk-in shower, high-quality amenities, and, wonderfully, robes and slippers. (Note: They do have a semi-accessible room, though the walk-in shower is not wheelchair-friendly.) 🚂 Location & Travel: Stress-Free Access to Bruges The location is ideal for exploring Bruges without the hefty price tag. Village Charm: Lissewege itself is a quintessentially beautiful, quaint village. Travel to Bruges: The train station is less than a 3-minute walk from the hotel. The return ticket to Bruges is an incredible €5 per person, and the journey takes a breezy 16 minutes. (Top Tip: Double-check the last train time! We missed ours and an Uber from the station cost €25.) 🍽️ Culinary Heaven: Breakfast Worth Traveling For.

Nothing. It was simply beautiful. The only thing I didn't like was that we only stayed one night.
