LATROUPE Grand Place

The location was great. The dorm beds were comfortable with the curtains giving some privacy. I always appreciate an individual reading light and charging point. The lockers in the room were reasonably sized. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a lively cafe/bar but I didn't avail those services

I think having bathrooms within the dorm room is just inconvenient. It causes a lot of disturbances if anyone has an early start and comes in late. It would be good if there was at least one common bathroom on each floor as an alternative. Secondly, most hostels offer free options to store luggage before/after check-in but there were only paid lockers here.

Best hostel I ever stayed !!

J’ai adoré l’ambiance agréable, qui règne au sein de L’auberge, les animations fréquentes, le comedy club du vendredi soir, l’accès aux champs, facile avec l’ascenseur, la disposition des chambres efficaces et sa localisation extrême Centre, près de des bus entre les deux gares.

Les rideaux des lits, pourquoi ne pas mettre des panneaux coulissants, comme dans la plupart des auberges de jeunesse en Europe… et le supplément qu’on m’a fait payer à la sortie parce que j’avais 1 heure (annoncée) de retard sur le Checkout. Après 6 nuits sur place, et quelques consommations au bar, c’est un petit peu limite….

Bij binnenkomst hing er steeds een heftige rioolgeur. Wellicht te danken aan de stad Brussel, maar toch een aandachtspunt. Een verzoek, of jullie op de site kunnen vermelden dat de bezoeker zelf een slot mee moet nemen voor de lockers. Dank alvast.

notre séjour a eu lieu pendant la gay pride et l'établissement ne nous a pas prévenu qu'il était situé au coeur des festivités avec dj dans l'établissement et ambiance musicale jusqu'après minuit.

L'emplacement était très bien. Le personnel très sympathique et qui ont su répondre a nos demandes. Merci a eux.

Les lits sont moyennement confortable et les chambres vraiment petite. Le ciel de pluie de la douche était vraiment pas pratique et le thermostat de la douche dysfontionnait: soit au bouillante soit rau froide.

Relatively clean and safe

My shower drain was clogged for each of the 3 nights. I alerted staff but nothing was done. Couldn’t take a shower for longer than 15 seconds without water overflowing onto floor. The in room security safe was broke. I was told it would be fixed the following day but never was. By our 3 day, the first floor reception area wreaked of sewage. They obviously had some plumbing issues going on that day Lastly, and maybe this is pilot error, but we couldn’t get the TV to work. I also alerted the front desk but no action was taken.
