"Greens, great food and a castle"

A green bubble just outside bustling Antwerp. A golf and polo club and a hotel in a Victorian house near a 14th century castle. The castle is worth an evening walk. The food was truly excellent, the smoked sea bass alone was something to return for. The outdoor seating area overlooks the forest and the golf course, which view one needs to take in with a nice glass of Belgian beer or dry wine. Staff was friendly, classy and knowledgeable. Breakfast was good too, Free parking on site.

The room was large, with a beautiful view, separate shower and bath. The only thing we missed was a watercooker in the room (because we travelled with a small child and bottles need to be prepared at random hours of the night).

Surroundings, cosy

Rooms were very hot and had no air conditioning or fan...The fridge did not work. There was very little information given at check-in about how to check out.
