Great location close enough to the lake for a quick walk but far enough not to hear any noise from there. The staff was very nice, and everything had a family feeling

Unfortunately, many properties rely on the “location” factor and do not invest in the simple commodities like comfortable pillows or mosquitoes nets. I am never expecting hotel levels of service or conditions in Velden, but if there is no air conditioning, you have to choose: are you keeping the balcony open during the night and mosquitoes will eat you alive or you just boil inside. These are such minor investments in a property that would add a lot of comfort to the guests stay. Judging by the prices, it’s hard for me to believe that offering 2 good pillows per room is a big problem. I will still choose to stay in small private properties because I appreciate a lot the nice and polite staff, the location as well, but this cannot be the only factors to rely on. I do believe that fixing small things will improve a lot the situation.
