Mero Hotel Boutique

Nice small hotel in Barra Grande, with beautiful patio featuring a swimming pool and a restaurant. Lots of flowers, birds & butterflies. It even has a restaurant-bar on the Barra Grande beach (<10 mins of walk) which we discovered by chance, and enjoyed having (for Brasilian standards rather expensive) lunch there, while relaxing under the palm trees. Very quiet at night, serves good breakfast. Room perfectly equipped, minibar, good shower, plenty of electric plugs and good beds. Terrace under the bougainvilea bush. Some staff members speak good English.

Frankly, we were given a rubber armband saying "Mero" to wear, and I never understood why - that's the trademark of mass tourism in megaresorts, why here?

a real beautiful hotel. very nice breakfast served by 2 very friendly waiters! nice swimming pool located very close to the beach and the city center!

the fact that on Sunday the restaurant and bar were closed. even worse was that we’ve not been informed. With a small baby of 15 months, this was very complicated!

Fantastic hotel! It is just a few blocks away from the centre which means that it was quiet and peaceful but close enough to walk to the restaurants / beach etc. Rooms are super comfortable, great a/c and nice, big and comfy beds with proper blankets. The pool area is so relaxing and breakfast was delicious with nice setting. The best part is the staff though - they were all so friendly and accommodating despite language barriers. Huge thanks to the entire team and especially Alex in reception and Francisco by the pool bar. You made our stay fantastic!
