Manana Resort and Marina

The view is stunning. The room was super clean - which was great. The bed was comfortable. Information was left in the room about places where I could have dinner and/or breakfast (as not possible at Raven Point Inn).

I left disappointed. First of all, there was nobody to greet me upon arrival - there was an envelope with my name and a "self-check-in paper" I needed to complete. I was appointed to stay at the gallery – which is a nice room – but small. I was traveling alone, so it was OK – however, I would not recommend the room for more than one person, especially if they have more than one suitcase. The view is stunning - and from the pictures, emails, and description you expect silence - but no- there is noise from some industry across the bay!

Room was a bit small but well appointed, and decorated. The view was gorgeous! It seems like a sort of heritage property.

Because it’s an older property, the downside was even a little noise by the neighbours disturbed our sleep, there is no air conditioning

Excellent, comfortable, clean rooms with a wonderful view from the balcony. The patio facing the water was truly ideal for sitting up with family to watch the sunrise.

Quiet cute little inn...restaurant is not open at this time which was a disappointment.

There were no breakfast or any dining facilities

The rooms were very small, and we didn't see any staff for the first two days (other than a maintenance man)

Location

There was no AC. Only one fan . Because of hot days, it's hard to sleep. And there was no fridge. Otherwise, it was all good.

I chose an off the beaten path place on purpose and Raven Pointe Inn offered a peaceful night on the water with a comfy room. Check in and check out was easy and the accommodations were clean and friendly.

The location was super cute with a view of the marina. Love the patio. The room was clean, sheets were nice.

Had a very strong smell of cat urine.

This review is part of a big road trip we planned around British Columbia and Alberta – flying in from Australia and renting a car, for the trip of our lifetime so far. We put a huge amount of time, energy and expense in planning the whole trip. As Aussies, we just want to say Canada is amazing. Just beautiful. It was worth every bit of planning and expense we put it into for so very long. Be proud Canada – what a beautiful place you live in! So, in that context, here is this review: We chose Ladysmith as our centre for our 3 night, 4 day stay on Vancouver Island. The feeling we had of Raven Point was that it would be an open, breezy feeling on the water's edge. It was anything but that. While the room was clean, it was incredibly small (barely half a metre between bed and walls), the whole floor was on a slope (felt like I was going to roll out of bed all night), we had the only room without a patio (while other rooms with a patio were obviously empty), we did not see reception all weekend, and their idea of you having a fridge is a communal fridge out in the hallway! This was a bitter disappointment for something to which we had looked forward for so very long.

As above - room waaaay too small; sloping floor/bed; fridge out in corridor; no balcony; also the Bistro (still advertised in lights out front) is non-existent (closed and empty).
