Hotel Sterne

This hotel is honest and full of heart. It is basic and absolutely worth the price. No shiny floors and no perfect infrastructure like you might know it from big hotel chains, but it has something that those Hotels rarely provide: A soul. Thanks to Ana and Vlad, the hosts, they are the core that makes this Hotel a home. If you want to have a basic but heartfelt stay, and you prefer the at-home-feeling over shiny, cold surfaces or perfect angles and modern materials, THIS is the Hotel for you. We were a group of 14 people ranging from 2 to 60 years old. The "penthouse suite" was definitely the most. Attractive of the rooms. The views are stunning.

the little kitchen could use some update (everything was working though). Stay in this hotel and make it possible for Ana and Vlad to invest. Their passion for their guests deserves it.

Hôtel très bien placé. Nous avions vue sur le lac de Thoune.Vlad et Anna sont très accueillants et disponibles. Locaux très propres.

Amazing views and super kind staff

Only the location is decent. Rest every aspect is poor.

Everything was poor. The stove was not working. Bathroom door could not be locked. The furniture are very old and uncomfortable. Heating was not working. Cramped kitchen near the entrance. Bed was old and not at all comfortable. We paid €1400 for 4 nights and it was not at all worth it. And to top it all, the parking is 300 m away from the hotel and had to be paid. It was peak winter.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect. The room was warm, clean, and very comfortable, making us feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The view was beautiful and made our experience even more special. We truly enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful stay. We would definitely come back again!

It would have been even better if slippers were provided in the room, as after going out to the balcony you have to put your shoes back on. We could also hear a bit of noise from the neighbors upstairs, but it didn’t affect our stay much and overall everything went very well.
