Seminar-Hotel Rigi am See

The hotel is very nice located directly at the lake. The rooms are plain and simple, clean. The bathroom it’s so small you can hardly close the door when sitting on the toilet. The food at the restaurant of the hotel could be greatly improved, especially for people with allergies. For the amount of people we were (a seminar), I would expect a bit more variety and not always the same kinds of salads.

Pleasant staff & swift check in. Good English spoken. Lovely, simple, clean rooms - but nothing extra. We had a room on the top floor in the old building which had a great view. Breakfast was very good, but - as other reviewers have stated - lunch and dinner was a bit boring.

The Pluses: comfortable bed, friendly staff, room had a balcony with a lake view, breakfast included, convenient location. The breakfast had fresh fruit (check peaches, apricots for ripeness), yogurt, cereals, fresh breads, cold cuts, cheeses, veggies. Adequate storage and hanging space. Doors to the buildings are motion sensitive and open automatically till night time when you need a key. Easy walk to restaurant, ferry terminal, bus stops, hiking trails. The minuses: top floor - hot, no AC, no fan, just the balcony doors for ventilation (no screen - bugs); you can cover the doors with a sheer curtain (no light blocking, no privacy), a heavier curtain (privacy, some light blocking), or a metal mesh (like a FL roll-up hurricane shutter) that provides a dark room but minimal ventilation; one balcony door regularly popped off it's top hinge - reported to desk clerk and was fixed; the bathroom is a 30"X50" closet (about 14" from toilet to door) - if you shower with the door closed, the shower curtain will hug you to death and the shower water will flood the tiny bathroom; the sink is in the room. Both curtains are on the same track and the balcony doors hit into the curtains when open. Note: room was in the older lakeside building.

I stayed here for 5 days during a seminar, had a room in the more modern building where the reception is. The room was very clean, comfortable beds and a lovely view of the lake. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, I definitely recommend this hotel if you're in Weggis.

I have stayed in a budget sigle room with balcony (lake view) +renovated and modern rooms +good breakfast for a 2+ Star Hotel +friendly staff +location in a quite part of weggis and still central -leisure taxes were to be paid separately -eggs for breakfast for additional charge -no elevator (not a problem for me, but might be a problem for older people) otherwise good hotel for business people on budget, or for a short stay

We booked the budget room including breakfast, these rooms are in a separate building separate from the old Mansion part of the Hotel, however its just to the side of the old part. Very modern room, with the basics, the room was nothing special however the view was beautiful, right on the Lake in the lovely village of Weggis. The perfect location. We had a room that faced the Lake. Not all of them do, some face the road. The village is quiet so you wont be troubled by noise, but its great to wake up and see that view.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights recently. The service and room were prefect. The cleanliness of the hotel was A+ and the breakfast was exceptional. I would have no issues highly recommending this hotel for both business and pleasure. The location right on the lake is stunning ...the perfect retreat .
