Finca Hotel Guali Santafe

Not easy to get to and from the location. Seems to out of range for Uber pick-ups.

The facilities and the staff attention were great. Pretty relaxing place to stay.

The water heater didn’t work properly because don’t had a tank reservoir. At least it was enough to get a shower

The staff are very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The finca is a located a short walk outside of the town centre and the immediate surroundings are not the nicest, but the finca itself is nice and comfortable.

Facilities as indicated in photos, newer, well maintained, clean and functional as expected. Outdoor pool, Samsung air conditioning unit, and hot shower in the room facilitated much needed relaxation. Room was quiet at night, comfortable bed and pillows, clean, no foul odors, no insects, nothing to distract from having a pleasant stay and a good night's sleep.. From the Santa Fé bus station, we walked about 15 minutes to the hotel and the receptionist was nice enough to allow us to check into the room at about 2 PM. Note: At Check-in, receptionist inserted my Credit Card into the hand held credit card machine, but was declined. Bad internet connection? A few minutes later, we tried again, still declined. We were allowed to enter the room to relax and try making the payment later. The receptionist sent a link to my cell via WhatsApp to pay via the Wompi payment app. When I used the Wompi payment app, I have the option to pay with my credit card stored electronically on my cell in my digital wallet, but that too was declined. We then returned to the office, tried again with the handheld device, and again it was declined. In the reception area, I tried to use the Wompi payment app on my cell again, but that was declined again. Can you imagine the frustrating experience? We thought we would have to leave the hotel and not be able to stay because we didn't have any cash. **Solution: I tried using the Wompi payment app on my phone again, but this time I made a little change. After I selected my credit card in the digit wallet on my cell as the payment method, and the credit card information automatically populates into the payment app fields, I deleted the blank space between each series of four digits in the 16 digit credit card number. The payment was then sent, received, and completed without rejection. Incredible, what a relief! System glitch? Don't know, but probably a good idea to mention the ordeal to Apple my cell phone manufacturer.

Requested egg breakfast without ham, but received diced ham mixed in with scrambled eggs and a strand of black hair on the plate under the food. After I picked out a lot of the ham and noticed the hair, I didn't eat another bite. No safe (lock box) in the room for valuables.
