Very good hotel

Great location above the town of Zug with a beautiful view of the lake. Nice gardens. Quiet surroundings.

On a hot day, there is no air conditioning nor even a fan provided in the room. An in -room tea and coffee making facility would be appreciated.

Nice view. We stayed here because it had a nostalgic value to us.

Staff. There was one staff at the restaurant who was very rude. A cleaner forgot to clean our room. When I went down to the reception to tell them that, there was no one around and the guy from the restaurant took the message and simply disappeared. After waiting for more than 15min, I asked him what the plan was, and he said the receptionist is busy. I asked him if he could maybe call the receptionist to let him know that I’ve been waiting for a long time. The waiter just gave me a big sigh and disappeared not doing anything! It’s not a 5 start hotel, so I can understand that the room being old and not super comfy, but there is no excuse for staff being rude especially when the mistake was on their side. I wasn’t even trying to complain. I went down to ask if they can at least empty the bins and replenish toilet rolls. In the end, receptionist showed up after 30min wait and he was pleasant and apologetic, but the attitude of the waiter ruined the experience for us.
