Cabaña Flotante Kurupira

L’originalité de l’établissement, bois et palmes. Salle de réception, séjour, salon, hamac et cuisine ouverte en bois exotique. Des chambres à l’étage, une jolie chambre sur un îlot connecté à l habitation principale par une passerelle en bois. Sanitaires équipés. Literie confortable et sa moustiquaire. Pêche de la galerie… un jour deux nuits hors du temps. Le réveil par le chant des oiseaux…

Es un sitio muy especial, despertarse con esas vistas, rodeado de naturaleza es un privilegio. Lo mismo el dueño como los trabajadores hacen lo posible por ayudar en lo que necesites.

Estar aislado tiene su parte buena pero te condiciona a que si quieres cenar o lo que quieras tiene que ser allí porque si no hay que coger un bote hasta Leticia, con su coste correspondiente. Al principio saber que sólo hay electricidad de 6 a 9 pm, sorprende aunque te acostumbres enseguida, de hecho es preferible que lo apaguen y así se deja de oír el ruido del generador para oír el ruido de la plena selva. El lugar es muy especial, aunque las comodidades no corresponden con el precio que pagamos.

Serenity was great - when it lasted

I cannot understand the high review marks. The furniture is terrible with no comfortable chair to sit in. If you are staying one maybe to nights ok, I stayed four and it was back braking. The staff are nice but no English. A gentleman who spoke English was there to greet me and when I returned from an excursion, otherwise no one. Rarely was there data on ones phone (not their fault. On day 3 I was woken by disco music at 6:30AM. This lasted for nearly 24 hours with some brakes. It was from the jungle - I had no one I could complain to and it was to be my day of rest. Apparently it was a tribe and it was some sort of celebration. It was horrific. I received a 1 day refund from the manager gentleman when I left with him the next day. Food was very nice and the young couple who looked after me were very nice but we hardly mixed. I guess one or two nights, would be OK and not for solos.

It is an amazing place to stay. Really glad we had this experience of the river and local environs. The host was very helpful and took us out to view dolphins in the river and a walk to visit the nearby community. Keen to educate and share his experience of the region. We had meals cooked for us on board that were good and nutritious from local produce.

Quite pricey so we only stayed one night

It was a perfect idiotic place to spend a few days after our trip to jungle and we wanted to stay around for a bit longer but outside of noisy city life of Leticia. Close enough to take a boat taxi or ask owner to organise it for 10min ride one way. The magical place of Cabaña Flotante Kurupira helped to relax a lot! Great healthy food always freshly made by a stuff located at the place. Possibility to jump and swim in the river YES! A very warm welcome and support from the owner and from entire team made this stay a simple dream!

There was nothing we did not like. And we have travelled many places.

Good location. Peaceful. Great food.

A little close to Leticia so you hear more of the city than of nature at times.
