Hôtel Chalet Royal

Spacious and clean room, good breakfast although it was not in the hotel itself (about 100m walk and then in the basement of another hotel). Easy late check in with clear instructions. Traveling with a friend so appreciated that it was a double bed that we could convert to single beds. Check out at 11:00 gave us plenty of time to enjoy breakfast and wait for the foggy weather to clear before we started hiking.

Confusing information about parking. We did find free parking but had to search around late at night translating signs from French. Hotel information focused on the very expensive underground parking despite there being many other options in the low season. Would have preferred not to be put in a room with construction scaffolding right outside (literally attached to the room's terrace) when the hotel was obviously mostly empty and the scaffolding was only on a very small section. Clearly were plenty of other rooms available so felt like booking through third party wasn't appreciated.

Déco vieillotte, mais néanmoins tout fonctionnel et confortable

Die Lage gut, zentral, und schöne Aussicht, je nachdem welche Seite man hat. Die Hotelterrasse mit Lounge, Abendsonne und Aussicht - perfekt. Ebenso der Speissaal mit Panoramafenster und Abendsonne - wie auch die exquisite Küche, waren ein Genuss. Auch das Frühstück erfüllte absolut die Erwartungen.

Wir hatten leider Zimmer Hang- und Strassenseitig. Es hatte zwar einen sehr grosszügigen Balkon, von dem man um die Hausecke auch noch etwas Aussicht hatte. Den Verkehrslärm hörte man halt sehr gut, zum Glück vorwiegend erst in den frühen Morgenstunden, aber je nach Fahrzeug war es schon heftig.

EV had 30% battery remaining, the charger outside declined all my credit cards despite the hotel could bill it without problem. I asked the front desk if they can help use a local card and bill me accordingly, and they declined. I had to risk driving back to town with the cars battery draining to zero. Extremely unhelpful.

Très bien mais un peu chère

Unterkunft liegt am Dorfrand, was uns sehr gut entsprochen hat (ruhig). Die Aussicht ist einzigartig! Wir hatten ein geräumiges Zimmer mit einem grossen Balkon. Das Essen im eigenen Restaurant war sehr gut.

Le mobilier un peu vieillot et abîmés. Les chambres au dessus du jacuzzi, très bruyantes. Les chambres faites très tard dans l’après-midi. Le restaurant longue attente pour recevoir nos plats. Nourriture très bonne, mais les assiettes quantité très insuffisante. Personnel du resto pas à la hauteur, commande livrée fausse. Très bruyant dans le resto où des enfants couraient partout.
