Hotel Marielos Tamarindo

We met the owner. She was lovely and was kind enough to cut us up a mango from a tree on the property. The hotel is so close to the beach and many great restaurants.

The room was spacious (the bathroom is huge) and very clean. Having a shared kitchen was a plus and the small refrigerator in the room was very helpful. The location is amazing... you just walk across the street and you are on the beach. I loved sitting on the front deck in the morning watching the howler monkeys, parrots, and iguanas play in the trees.

El hotelito, por el precio en temporada baja, esta bien, porque lo mejor es la ubicación. Las camas estaban bien. Otro punto a favor es que tiene cocina, y es muy útil. Además esta limpio todo. Las zonas verdes están bien cuidadas. Y es un lugar seguro para dejar los vehículos.

Esta viejito, o al menos la habitación que nos toco. La ducha si creo que le falta mantenimiento. Otra cosa para que lo tengan en cuenta los viajeros, tienen gallinitas y gallitos , eso significa que empiezan a cantar tempranísimo. Tambien nos toco los vecinos bulliciosos y empezaron hacer ruido temprano tambien. Por lo demás esta bien. Si cobran mas en temporada alta, será solo por la ubicación.

It was by the beach

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. First of all, there were ants EVERYWHERE, at least 100 all over the floors and our clothes. They bit us horribly too. I walked out with around 50 bites all over my body. Next, all they gave us was a sheet, you think for our stay being over 500 dollars they can afford an actual blanket. Bathroom facilities were not working. The toilet clogged over 4 times in our 6 day stay. In the bathroom as well, the shower didn’t drain quickly at all, so we had 7 minute showers MAX. Lastly, there was a sign saying they are not responsible for lost items and to lock up in the safe… only the safe does not work. It doesn’t lock, and seems that the batteries were taken out. Overall an incredibly uncomfortable stay and wouldn’t pay to stay ever agian even if it was 2 dollars a night.
