Hotel Diversion Tropical

Las habitaciones súper cómodas, la piscina me encantó, el área de cocina muy práctica,en realidad me gustó mucho.

The staff were very friendly and helpful- a wonderful couple ran the property and breakfast was included which was a traditional Costa Rican breakfast. It was served in the common kitchen area out by the pool in the morning and it was delicious. The bathroom was clean and nice standup shower. My kids liked the cat, Oreo.

The area is in walking distance to the beach but didn’t feel comfortable walking because there weren’t any sidewalks. It’s not a pleasant walk off the hotel grounds. The bunk beds and full underneath wasn’t enough for my family of 4. It was very tight quarters. No place to put our clothes or suitcases.

The breakfast was delicious! The staff was as helpful, and the location was great to visit conchal beach.

The air conditioning in one of our rooms didn’t work well, and we hoped to see monkeys but didn’t.

The breakfast was delicious. This hotel was so convenient for walking to Playa Conchal where we enjoyed a couple of days of snorkeling. The staff also went above and beyond to help us with any questions we had.

Access to beach and downtown area

Hotel is located on the main two lane highway into town. Road noise was significant.

Breakfast very tasty and hot each day. Scrambled eggs, various fruit, rice/beans, coffee, juice.

It was a nice breakfast cooked by Edwardo who can do anything on the property. We caught some tuna and he offered to cook them for breakfast if we wanted. We opted to use the "Fun Zone" outdoor kitchen with a grill which turned out amazing.

Nice staff, clean room, not much to complain about. You get what you pay for, no fancy situation. I slept well

Close to a traffic road,the beach which is closest to the hotel is dirty and filthy, many people. The environment around not very pedestrian friendly, but that is common all around Costa Rica

Staff was very friendly, breakfast was ok. Pool area quite nice and clean. Walking distance to the beach and several restaurants. Parking right in front of the rooms.

Place is mostly used by Costa Ricans and seems to be their budget option. They brought all kitchen equipment from home and were cooking and frying in the rooms next to us with all family. This (both the noise, but also the smell) made sleeping (we were still quite jetlagged) hard. It is located near to the main road, so you have quite a bit of traffic noise. Not a terrible place, but not worth the money. We'd rather spend a little more next time to get something better.

Owner was nice, chatting and providing information.

Not a good value - it needs update and better pricing.
