We enjoyed using the hotel as a base to explore Liberia. We cooled off in the pool, strolled to the park each evening to watch the birds congregate & took an excursion to the El Rincon de la Vieja volcano park.

We found the hotel met our needs but could probably benefit from some updates.

We chose this place because it was on the major highway running east to west through Liberia. This made it easier to drive to Santa Rosa National Park every morning while we were there. Even though it is right on the major highway, the room was very quiet and comfortable. The price enabled us to save some money while staying here. The provide secure parking which allowed us to relax about the rental car. The hotel is decorated with lots of ranch tools, so it is somewhat a museum for this area. We love places of this character.

The sign for the hotel seems small and we had a hard time locating the property our first night. But being right beside a McDonalds made it easy to finally locate. The scene at the McDonalds was spectacular during the Saturday night. It seemed that was the place to be for Costa Ricans.
