Nice location, breakfast was very good

No hot water. One teeny bar of soap for the shower and the sink. Only over bare bulb lighting. 1/3 roll of toilet paper with no extra. Restaurant, waited 45 minutes for my order and they brought the wrong thing, blaming bad cooking oil. No black pepper available for guests, even though they had it in the kitchen.

We were in Nicoya trying to book a room through Booking.com at about 8:30 pm. We specified our search to include hotels in the vicinity of our GPS location, which was Nicoya. Hotel El Marino came up as an option without clearly stating the location of the hotel, which happened to be 5 hrs. away. We did not/could not stay in this hotel even though we reserved it. Look closely for the location of the Hotel you find on Booking.com before booking it.

Very friendly and helpful staff ; very clean ; good shower ; excellent location in the city ; big breakfast (included in the price)

The breakfast was good and the location was good for what I needed. The place was clean . Those are the important things to me.

Clean and well maintained city hotel with friendly staff and a good restaurant. Safe gated parking with video surveillance. Good costa rican breakfast included. The room had a good size, some furniture, a fridge, and a very lovely picture of a green frog. A/C worked perfectly.

Rooms and hotel area are intensively cleaned with chlorine and the first room smelled so bad we had to ask for another one (what we got without problem). Also while eating breakfast someone was cleaning close by so again this annoying smell.

Close to bus stop, restaurants, and anything else you want.

There is no hot water, which was not advertised before. The doors are left open and full of flying insects. The room rakes hours to cool off. Very thin sheets no blankets.
