Burgschänke & Herberge Goldener Löwe

Die Einrichtung der Burgschänke ist sehr geschmackvoll. Unser Zimmer in der Herberge war klein, aber ausreichend und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Alles war sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Vielen Dank für alles.

Nice large room at historical building.

The building, rooms and restaurant are full of character, the staff are great characters, very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast and evening meal most enjoyable. Very relaxing after a long bike ride. Good storage for the bikes.

Little information about the town and its facilities.

Location was good for me. (because it was close located to my final goal) Staff was friendly....but sometimes absent if you need them. Enough parking space

I chose this hotel based on the positive reviews. My mistake. During evening the restaurant was closed. (it is even closed a few days per week) What is the purpose of having a restaurant if you don't use it during the evening when guests come over? "TV" is ancient and extremly small. You can find better TVs at a flea market. Bed creaks like crazy. Not much choice at breakfast. On time refilling of empty stuff would be recommended during breakfast. (like empty juice bottle, only a few slices of meet available, 2 puddings to share with all guests.... Feels really cheap to me. Apparently no real investment has been made in the rooms for decades. I have been traveling for business for over 20 years. Normally I don't write a review quickly, but this was one of the least hotels in all those years. For me; not for repeating or recommendation to my other colleagues. Too bad to write such a negative review, because I do see potential.
