"Nice family run hotel with great breakfast "

8.0

The hotel is a nice friendly family run business, where all the staff work well together and very welcoming. The room we had was generous in size, very clean and nicely presented with a large bathroom. An improvement suggestion would be coffee and tea facility in the room. We did not try the restaurant but the breakfast buffet was excellent.

"Perfect Stop Over"

8.0

Wurzburg is about 8 hours from Calais and a perfect stopover town if you don't want to drive to Austria in one go as we have done regularly in the past. Nice clean hotel. Good breakfast and comfortable amd very clean if basic rooms. Powerful shower and reliable WiFi. Recommended.

"Some nice touches"

8.0

Our navigation system dumped us at the top of the street where there is also a number 18. Herr Brehm noticed our confusion and walked up the road to direct us to the hotel car park. We received room 21. This corner room is large and has an extra single bed. The decor is modern and discreet. The furnishings are solid modern Bavarian. Apart from the desk chair there are two armchairs. A nice touch. The bathroom is also roomy, modern and well equipped. The shower has double corner doors which are a welcome change from clinging curtains or a narrow slit so often found in hotel showers. Here one can make the grand entrance. There are clothes hooks behind the door: another nice touch. The bed was just right, firm but not hard. The hotel is not air conditioned, but the room has 4 windows. The room faces onto a small lane on one side and to a short passageway on the other. Outside noise was no longer noticeable after 10 pm, even on that Saturday night. Unfortunately, the bedding uses artificial fibres and we woke later bathed in perspiration. Cotton bed linen would correct this and make a very good hotel an excellent one. Breakfast was all the good things that others have described.

"Very charming stay."

10.0

The rooms were spacious and clean. Internet was a bit of a hassle, but it wasn't bothered by it. There's a restaurant attached, but I ventured into the busier parts for food. The hotel is nestled in a very quiet part of town. So, I wouldn't expect any grand night life here. It is very peaceful, though.

"good Find for the money"

8.0

The hotel was very comfortable and clean and the owner was very friendly. We ate at the hotel restaurant and had a very good meal. Basic traditional German food, well prepared and tasty. The location is not the best. Be prepared to drive or take the tram to the old town and most sites. We stayed one night on our drive on the romantic road.

"Bavarian Vacation"

6.0

We spent 2 nights here for our stay in Wurzburg. The hotel was in a nice quiet neighborhood with street side parking. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel is not that far from the city center although not within walking distance. As a previous review stated we were told the bar/restaurant would be opened in the evening and when we arrived back near 7PM it was closed. The Wi-Fi service was not very easy to connect to for most of our stay.

"It's ok"

6.0

Clean room. Hidden out of the way. Internet is the worst. Staff was not able to print out our boarding passes. Told us the bar is open late, we got in at 7:00 and it was already closed. We read previous reviews, so we decided not to eat there.

"Quiet and comfortable"

8.0

I had requested a quiet room location for my first stop after an all-night flight, and was given just that (top floor in the corner). The room and the entire hotel was very quiet, in a residential neighborhood not in the city center, but the GPS had no trouble finding it. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Everything worked well...plenty of hot water in the shower; about 20 TV channels (only CNN Europe in English), and free wifi . I had dinner in their restaurant, and found it taste and reasonably priced. Breakfast was perfectly adequate as well...the usual array of breads, cheeses, and cold meats. If you happen to get room #34 (and maybe a couple others on the top floor), be prepared to watch out for the slanted ceilings by the head of the beds, and in the bathroom. I survived several inattentive bumps getting out of bed and moving around the bathroom. The hosts spoke some English, not really fluent, but more than enough to do the job. Nothing fancy here, but provided the restful stop I needed for one night, and I'd be happy to go back..

"Pleasant stay, big room"

8.0

We two had a room for three and it was very comfortable: large, clean, bright, quiet, good beds and good breakfasts, free parking. The hotel is a few ks out of the centre of town, but just up the road from an adjacent suburb/ village with a number of reasonable restaurants, and good walks by the river. The building is probably from the 1980s We didn't eat in, so can't comment on the restaurant. We needed the GPS to find the hotel, but Wurzburg is easy to drive in and cheap, convenient pay parking is available for sight seeing. Would go back there.
