Hotel Landgasthof Hofmeier

This was a last minute booking after Lufthansa cancelled about a million flights out of Munich. It is located about 20 minutes from the airport in the quiet countryside. The girl at reception was super friendly and helpful, and even though we had only booked 30 minutes earlier, the rooms were perfect.

As expected in Germany, a single room has a single bed, but nothing to complain about.

Das Hotel liegt in ländlicher Gegend. Ost mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen. Hat eine tolle Ausstattung und einen hervorragenden Gästeservice. Daß Frühstücksbuffet hat für mich keine Wünsche offen gelassen.

Rundum zufrieden

Das Essen von der Speisekarte war fabelhaft!!! Die Räumlichkeiten sehr ansprechend, der Wintergarten im Sommer sicher traumhaft. Für Familien mit Kindern sehr schön, weil abgelegen und Spielplatz und Tiere vor Ort. Zimmer und Bad waren gut, sehr sauber, Ablagemöglichkeit für Koffer vorhanden, Zimmergröße angenehm, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter/innen, Wurstwaren aus eigener Herstellung (Wild) zum Verkauf, kostenfreie Parkplätze direkt vor dem Haus. Trotz vieler Gäste gute Versorgung und auch spontan ohne Reservierung noch ein Tisch für Samstag Abendessen möglich gemacht bekommen. Frühstück mit frischem Obst und Gemüse (filettierte Orangen!), Milch-Alternativen.

- dass man das Zimmer nicht komplett abdunkeln konnte - dass man die Arbeiten von der Küche im Zimmer im 1. Stock gehört hat (auch sonntags früh), natürlich auch nachvollziehbar, ohne das gäb‘s nicht das wunderbare Essen…

We needed a last minute room for 3 people due to a shady Air B&B host and this hotel was wonderful! It was reasonably priced and easy to get to if you have your own vehicle. The staff were friendly and cleaned the room every day. Check-in and check-out were both equally easy.

This is probably a cultural difference but we found it odd that they charged per person staying in the room and that you weren't just paying for the room itself. I'm not used to that in the U.S. but it also wouldn't have been a surprise had I remembered to put 3 adults staying in the room versus 2, as again I thought we were just booking the room itself. The restaurant states that it stays open until midnight, but we saw it close as early as 10pm. If you are heading back late hoping for a bite to eat or a beer in the restaurant, you can't necessarily count on it being open.
