Eichenhof Hotel Garni

We liked all the animals. We also liked that there was parking and the peacefulness of the area. The breakfast was also really good and the personal was very friendly.

The flyscreen was broken so we had some unwanted visitors.

The owners were very friendly, for the kids there is a lot to experience. For example an option to ride a horse. At night the view of the stars are phenomenal because of lack of light pollution.

In short: renovate the rooms. For a 4 star hotel it doesn't comply. It is more of a B&B experience. There was no shampoo or showergel provided. No fridge nor a safe. The rooms are quite noisy; you hear a lot from other rooms. The room and furniture feels like it hasn't been renewed since the 90's. The curtain could not keep out all light because it couldn't reach the floor.

The staff was very friendly and clear with instructions when we arrived. Though we visited for 3 nights as a couple, this place looks great for young children, the whole place has toys in and outside! Also the 2 cats and dog loved us petting them. The rooms and hallway are way more modern than the outside would lead on. Very clean too, the bins got checked daily and the beds were made up another time as well.

Like I read on another review as well, you only get 1 pillow, which is fine, but it's really really soft. So I would recommend bringing your own if you need your head lifted or fold the pillow double, that's how I solved it.

The owner was kind, it was really close to nature. Checkout time was pretty fair. The breakfast was great, so many fresh vegetables. And the price was fair as well.

The checkin time after 8pm would cost additional 20€/h. This wasn't clear for me, before I booked it. First of all, it's a high price and it wasn't as transparent as I hoped it.
